Job Title: Dam Safety Engineer

Location: Lacey, WA

Job Description: The Water Resources (WR) program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill a Dam Safety Engineer (Environmental Engineer 3) position located in our Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA. This position serves as a licensed Professional Engineer in the Dam Safety Office (DSO) in the Dam Safety and Wells Section within the Water Resources Program. This position protects public health and safety by ensuring that dams and other impounding structures are properly designed, constructed, operated, and maintained. Specifically, this position applies specialized expertise in surface water hydrologic and hydraulic engineering using a risk-based methodology. For more information, click here.

Job Title: Dam Safety Engineer

Location: Position sits in upstate NY (Potsdam and Queensbury areas preferred)

Job Description: Brookfield is seeking a civil engineer with either structural, geotechnical or hydrology/hydraulic engineering expertise. The position requires a strong desire and interest to expand and grow your expertise into each civil engineering discipline (structural, geotechnical, and hydrology/hydraulics) related to dam safety. This position provides a wide and interesting range of opportunities to work on steel, concrete and earth infrastructure projects in New York. The responsibilities include field inspections, performing engineering analyses, developing technical reports, and supporting the HSSE program for safe and reliable project structures. As a dam safety engineer, this position would report to the Senior Dam Safety Engineer and the Director of Asset Management. The Dam Safety Engineer will be responsible for supporting Brookfield’s Health, Safety, Security & Environment (HSSE) program to perform dam safety inspections, provide engineering expertise and technical support for Brookfield Renewable’s New York hydroelectric projects and related civil infrastructure. Job Title: Engineer III-V, Hydroelectric Facilities

Location: Murphys, CA

Job Description: The Northern California Power Agency (NCPA) is seeking a Chief Dam Safety Engineer for our Hydroelectric facility in beautiful, Murphys! This position performs a variety of engineering tasks relating to dam safety, FERC license compliance, and plant reliability and performance efficiency, including troubleshooting plant and equipment problems. The Engineer is responsible for engineering, designing, inspecting, planning, scheduling, licensing, permitting, and compliance for the Hydroelectric facilities and acts as a project and construction manager for a variety of projects including public works projects.
